" A Walt Disney World employee was killed when two monorails carrying several guests collided at Magic Kingdom, emergency officials said.
According to Reedy Creek Emergency Services, the monorails collided at about 2 a.m. Sunday, killing one of the train operators.

Austin Wuennenberg, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. An incorrect spelling of the victim's last name was initially provided by law enforcement officials.

The operator of the other monorail was not injured. Eight other people were evaluated after the crash, but no other injuries were reported.

A witness told Local 6 News that he heard a loud crashing noise when the monorails collided. Video obtained exclusively by Local 6 News shows guests trying to help the driver who was killed in the crash.

The monorail, which shuttles thousands of visitors around the sprawling resort each day, was shut down while authorities investigated the cause of the fatal holiday accident."

It's really hard to imagine something like this happening at Disney. I mean....they're so particular about safety with their guests and staff. Even though no guests were hurt, I feel really bad that a 21 year-old staff member died!
He was supposed to graduate in 2010!

Now everyone's going to be scared of riding the monorails because they think that they're not safe.
Even though the system is almost fool-proof!
If anyone wants an article on how the monorail operates to get a better understanding of how this is so strange then please let me know.

Better than mine I hope. XD I spent mine sitting around feeling sick to my stomach all day for some reason. And then I watched Tarzan and Happy Feet on TV!

And then the fireworks were shot off. We didn't buy any though.
Our neighbors did the shooting....and now that I mention it...why didn't we bring out the roman candles we have in the garage?

Even when I woke up this morning feeling sick once again, there was still a THICK cloud of neverending smoke outside my window! HAR!
